Default Tire Recommendations for 18s

I'm about to pick up a set of 18x8 all around wheels +48 offset. My car is currently stock height. I want to know what is the best size tire recommendation for this setup.

I would say 225/40R18 all the way around or 215/40R18 front and 245/35R18 rear. If I can help let me know.

So Jim, you actually reccomend a non-staggered fitment?
Thats like raising the danger flag.

I think i'm gonna go with 225/40/18 Fronts and 245/40/18 Rears. Is the 40 series in the rear gonna affect any rubbing issues with stock or lowered height? would 225 fronts cause and rubbing or complications?

What would be the issue with a non stagger setup? It seems like 225/40/18 seems like an issue?

The OE setup is staggered meanning a wider tire is needed in the back for optimum and safe handling. If you go to a non staggered setup, your reducing the rear tire width. This will make the car highly prone to oversteer in wet and at high speeds in the dry.

im using 225-40-18fr 255-35-18rr

you wouldn't rub 245/40 +47 when you're just driving on a plain(not unpaved) side street. You would rub on the freeway once you hit a pothole or once you hit over 85 mi/hr(based on my friend's experience) and start bouncing. My concern now (I never tried yet) would there be a rubbing issue for 255/35 18r on +47 wheel offset with the fenders rolled.
