Default "Fat Tires!"

Jim, you're gonna love this one! I just ordered new wheels and tires from Tires.com [Discount Tire] Their website recomended 265/35/18 with the Arceo 18x7.5 that I picked out. Got the package shipped right to my front door [no charge for shipping, mounting or balancing] and the back tires rub under hard corning loads or when going over a large bump. I called 'em back and they said I had two options, cut my inner wheelwell or go to a smaller size. I opted for a smaller size, and they shipped me a pair of 255/35/18's. I calulate they are about a quarter inch shorter and .4 narrower. I will mount them and hope for the best! The 265's looked great on the 7.5's, but just a bit too big! I opted for 225/40/18's for the front and that has been great. By the way, I bought the Yokohoma es100's and love them! Bottom line, don't buy the 265/35/18's unless you wanna do a little cuttin'!

"The 265's looked great on the 7.5's"

Tires.com are idiots for selling you this combo.

265 on a 7.5" is definately too wide. I also run 255 on 18X9. Good luck.

Maybe it is worth a little more for some professionalism. The 265/35R18 needs at least a 18X9 wheel to even fit on the tire. Even the 255/35R18 needs a 18X8.5 wheel. What they are selling you is unsafe.

The approved rim sizes for those tires is 9.0"-10.5" and that is from the Yokohama website.

Thats crazy. Watch tires just pop right off when you're going high speed.
