Hi guys, I'm thinking of getting a set of RG-Ds from a member here and the specs on it are 17x9 +35 all around. Ive been reading a lot and it seems theres a mixed opinion on whether rolling the fenders (not pulling) and running around some camber will fit the rims and drive it hard without it rubbing. I am lowered on monoflex about 2" currently. If I were to run 245 or 255 all around and do the modifications above will I be able to run it without it rubbing? Also my car has been repainted due to an accident and i just wanted to know if the chance of the paint cracking will be very high if i were to roll the fenders? Thanks in advance!

 

I would prefer to run camber angles that are possible without camber joints or stuff like that. I only want a decent amount of camber that will let me fit the rims and not compromise both street and track function

 

The fronts are the issue. You would definitely need a pull to run either a 245 or 255 and your likely need -3 camber.

As for the repaint when was it done? Did they fix the existing fender or paint new fenders? Anytime there is a repair there is a much higher chance or issues with the paint. I have rolled cars where there was repair work to the front and they were fine others the paint bubbles just from heating it and others just crack because bondo doesn't roll it cracks.

Frankly if you want function you need higher offsets especially for the fronts.

 

im running 17x9 +43 square with 255/40 all around. im rolled all around . 2.5* camber f/r and the fronts needed a good pull.

 

Get down force fenders, i have the same specs on my volks with 25540 rs3 with -3 in fronts and its close. It will rub if you track your car, I had to cut the front and shave rear fender tabs for added clearance.

 

You would have to flare the fronts, cut the rears and run -3

 

Thanks for the info guys! The paint job was done actually in the recent few weeks but Im actually thinking of getting a set of RGII also from a member here. The specs are 17x9+22 front and 17x9.5+35 rear. I figured if I'm not gonna take the risk of pulling the fender and having to repaint them. I might as well get voltex flares all around to make life easier haha. My question now is, will the +25mm for the voltex flares be able to clear these wheels? Assuming I'm gonna run 255 rear and 245 in the front. Sorry for changing the specs all of a sudden guys

I understand the higher offsets are just gonna make life a lot easier and provide better function but i don't really have funds to buy any wheels new and although I'm not into the whole stance nation thing, i find concave wheels look better, they're just so much of a headache to fit
