Default Front 205/45/16?

The new ECSTA V700 Kumho tire has this size, as well as the 225, and only these two for 16" rims. What might happen to handling balance with the smaller diameter front tire? Stock tire is over 1" greater in diameter. Thanks.

My guess is more oversteer with lower center of gravity and less compliant sidewalls. Time for larger front sway bar with that setup, perhaps.

I wanted to try this size but it wasn't available in AVS Sports. Interesting idea though. Make sure they can be mounted on 6.5" rims. Check the specs section at TireRack.

Prolene, watch out for changing the bias in the antilock brakes.

I've tried front track tires in 205 and 225 and have decided that the 225 is a better choice for me. With the larger front bar and 205 tires I found a bit more push than I wanted and more rapid front tire wear. I am very pleased with the balance using the Mugen front bar and 225/245 tires.

Just looked at these new tires and see they are not offered in the sizes we have been using. I will pass on them until I can get the 225/245.

I think the brakes are a little overbiased towards the front for 205/55 tires anyway but it is a good point to consider.
