That wasn't the point Honda had in mind. They purposely built this car with the specs they did so they could advertise (via car mag road tests) that this car can generate "X" number of g's on a skid pad and that it can do a certain road course in "X" number of seconds quicker than other cars in a similar class or higher. Honda sells Accords, Civics, Passports, CRVs with better tire wear. They specifically marketed this car for its TRACK abilities and to be able to boast about its TRACK numbers.
I can just see it now: Honda puts out an S2000 that will have good, even tire wear. All of it's suspension settings will now be different and the tires that it comes from will last a gazillion miles. Unfortunately, the car will no longer be able to compete with other cars like it used to. BUT, the owner can alter the alignment settings and buy different tires if handling is of importance.
That little HANDLING car can NO LONGER handle. It will no longer turn on a dime nor will it be the darling of Auto crossers or road courses.
YUP, I can see the S2000 headed for an earlier than usual grave.
Wow! I know that wasn't the point of the model but Honda has already caved into the pressure of making the car more streetable and that grave hasn't been dug yet now has it??? You're saying earlier than usual grave. What do you mean? Has the S suffered already. What is your frame of reference here?

Give the Accords, Civics, Passports, CRV's SO2's and the same camber and they're still crap on the skid pad.

If Honda did change the camber settings enough to help (possibly not eliminate) the uneven tire wear, they wouldn't be marketing it, the owners would just appreciate it. Adjusting the camber wouldn't make it 'no longer handle' it would move its tire wear up a little from one of the worst in the industry.

NOTE: Once again...disclaimer time...this does not apply to those rare S owners that predominantly drive their cars on the track.

"To maximize tire life, the tire should be dismounted from the wheel and flipped (move inside shoulder to the outside) when the tire is about half way worn."

Doing this about doubled my front's mileage.

Like the chicken or the egg debate, I wonder who posted this first:

Here's a fresh idea:

Double your tire life again by flipping the tires inside out.

cool..I just thought my idea of changing the specs was a good one. I'm able to buy SO2's once a month if I need to but I know a lot people aren't.

I still don't know if I quite agree with you about rarities and a couple of other things but I really just wanted to know if my camber was something other than what it was supposed to be, without getting it checked.

I hope we meet sometime because I feel like we constantly disagree and I'm really not even a confrontational person.

I doubt I'll be anywhere near Calgary...probably ever so hopefully someday we'll agree on something without even trying!

Actually, some peeps here in the Buckeye State do that. I know Efthimios does it.
