Default front tire sidewalls

Is it dangerous to run a 215/40/17 up front or should i switch back to 215/45? I bought wheels and they came with 215/40's. Suggestions?

i say switch back to the 215/45s. The performance/ride/look is better than the 215/40s.

The 215/40R17 is just too short and it would throw off the handling and the anti lock brakes. You made the rigt decsison to go back to the 215/45R17.
