i pretty much wrapped up my endless (sometimes pointless!) search for that 'perfect' wheel. i have just one detail to lock down: the finish of the center.

i have given my nod for a glossy black finish for the center with the fasteners in silver (stainless steel) and the polished (and clear coated) outer. the inside of the wheel will be silver as well. the picture below shows the finish, but not the wheel i am getting.

question is, any downside to glossy black finish? the clear coat is built into it. will it hold up the road-abuse? chips and all?

should hold up fine as long as it's a quality job, high gloss is actually safer/more resistant than a matte/flat finish
