the goodyear F1 is very comparable to the S03s that come on the s2k...as for playing around get some Kumho Ecsta 411 and use them only when you want to do some side shows...

As posted SEVERAL times above the OE tire is the S02. The S03 is an alternative aftermarket tire. It is not as good as the S02, but it is cheaper and will last longer.

The '04+ cars came with a Brigestone RE050. The REO50 is not as sticky as the S02, but the OE sizes are wider than the OE S02s. The RE050 will wear longer than the S02.

At 16,000mi your S02s do NOT have ample tread on them, they are shot. I guarantee it. You need to look at the INSIDE edge of the tire, not the outside edge. Negative camber will wear the insides.

Running with worn tires is a receipe for disaster.
Drifiting is an invitation to crashing into a curb or a light pole. Also, your differential is not designed for drifting and WILL prematurely fail.

You can drive it like an asshat, but don't be surprised when you break it, and it costs a LOT of money to repair it.

That's kind of like having an idea only it has been had by a New England farmer. It's kind of like "Nope, can't get there from here."

OCC ^haha

OK thanks for clearing somethings up guys.

I just took a look at the inside edge on my tires and they look perfect. I bought this from a old man so I doubt he was drifting...BTW wasnt this car made to drift? Or was it just made with an amazing suspension for cornering?

Just picked this up 2 weeks ago so im still learning here. NO WORRIES THOUGH, I dont spin it in bad situations. AND I always have my camera on me

From the context of the post, I believe that an "idear" must be a bad idea.

not true. My 6.6 year old, original S02s have almost 18k on them. I swapped them from side to side twice and they still have a lot of tread left with negligible uneven wear. I don't drive like a pansy either The key is to swap the tires side to side to even out the wear every 5k or so.

No it wasn't. Yes, thats exactly what it was made for. Who makes a car for drifting?

yes I mean take the tire off the wheels and swap them from L to R, and vise versa so the directional treads still face the correct direction. This way, the wear due to camber will even it self out. If you run the tires equal distances on both sides of the car, the wear should also be even and prolong the life of the tire by a good amount.
