Default Goodyear F1 GS-D3 wear fast as hell?

at 24k miles i bought a pair of Goodyear F1 GS-D3 to replace the rear OEM tires (fronts were, and are, still going strong!)

I drive very lightly - i would say at 40th percentile (below average) in terms of aggressiveness compared to everyone here

the car is at 33k miles and today i noticed the rear tires are close to their wear indicators.

wtf? im not complaining here - this is a sports car and i bought ultra-high-performance-summer-tires. all im saying is, the tires have got literally double treadwear rating vs everything else in its category (280 vs 140), and have really good treadwear survey results on tirerack, so its actual wear is a surprise to me

anyone else?

Again, you can't compare treadwear ratings from one manufacturer to the next.

"Unfortunately, the rating that is of the most interest to consumers is the one that appears to be the least consistent. While the Treadwear Grade was originally intended to be assigned purely scientifically, it has also become a marketing tool used by manufacturers to help position and promote their tires."

damn. what baloney. thing is, i didnt just go by the manufacturers rating but also the consumer ratings (over 3 million miles reported). apparently users let the manufacturer ratings sway their reviews

I've not mannaged to do better than 10K kms per set of tires. I've had everything from Kumos, s02s, and right now i am running some bridgestones.

I just cant seem to win.

Though, some of the guys around here get awesome tire wear. I'm still confused.

10 kms is not right. Your rear toe adjustment is off.

my last alignment (at 25k mi?) had the front right Caster off, everything else good

i havent checked the inside of the tires, so maybe it could be that the toe and/or camber or off, but ill check it
