I'm very happy with my kumho's, even though they may not be the best i think they are the best value for money

Maybe they are on par with what I am looking for.
I've run 17" Kumho MX in atuocross and DE on my car. I've run 16" Hankook RS2 in autocross on my girlfriend's car.
We absolutely hated the RS2. We got rid of that tire long before the tread was worn out. The tire has good grip in steady-state cornering, but was absolutely rubbish in transitions - the car had no stability in slaloms, for example.
The MX, on the other hand, has great grip, great response, great stability, and great life. It is, in my opinion, one of the best street tires out there.

So if I understand correctly you are saying that in hard entrance turns or slalom like roads, the tires would feel very sloppy (RS2)? That is definitely what I am NOT looking for.
I am leaning towards the MX at this point, partially due to what you mentioned.
i've run the hankook rs2 and the kumho mx.
BOTH have soft sidewalls compared to oem bridgestone (or bridgestone in general).
i would say hankook's sidewalls are softer.
on the track, the kumho's hold up better than the hankook's...
i absolutely HATED the hankook's at the track.
