Default Help with 17x9 +44

Hey guys,

Just put on some Volk Group-AV rims, pretty old school but they are 17x8 +45 and 17x +44 at the back, I just put on 235/40/17 at the front which is fine, running 1.5 deg neg camber and then at the back 255/40/17 with 2.5 neg camber...

Car is not lowered but it rubs when cornering hard!

What else would I need to do to stop the rubbing? I haven't rolled the guards yet but would you normally run more neg camber with wheels this size?

Any help would be much appreciated!

The guys who are running this setup successfully are usually running a narrower tire... like a 245/40/17 or even a 235/40/17.

What are you rubbing on? Is it the inside of the fenderwell or the rear bumper attachment point?

I think it's the inside of the fenderwell...

Does anyone have any wheel alignment specs for this kind of wheel setup?

you may need to have your rear fenders rolled. The rubbing noise from inside the fender well could also be the rear bumper bracket (its a metal tab). It may need to be cut and the screw may need to be moved back a few inches

I would first recommend a 245/40R17 on the rear and then with that offset and width I would roll the fender lips.

255 is too big for the 9 +44.

Run a 245 + camber and your set. Also, roll your fender tooo.
