Default 255/40/17 slightly rub, is 245/40/17 ok?

Hello:

I have SSR professor SP1 wheels, 17x8 offset 49 front & 17x9.5 offset 55 rear.

I am using 225/45/17 front & 255/40/17 rear but still slightly rub my front and rear fender.

if i use 215/45/17 front & 245/40/17 rear, will this combo solve the rubbing issue?

That would help, but what alignment specs are you running? Running more negative camber in the rear might solve your problem.

Roll your fenders in back, that will probably solve the problem.

honestly, i'd give the fender rolling or camber a try before you shell out more money for tires, it will be cheaper!

that 255 should fit on stock fenders with that offset just add a TAD bit more negative camber in the rear and see how that goes.

or u can always roll your fenders, and you cant roll the front fenders since they dont have any lip on them.
