Help Best Winter Tire?!
The Nokian Hakka. 1 and Q are winter tires. The NRW is all-season, but much better than any other all-season in the snow.
As far as tests go, it depends what kind of test is performed, and what conditions you're accustomed to and drive in. If it's lots of sheet ice, then maybe Tirerack's results would be a good decision-maker. They test drive on an ice rink usually I think.
I'll tell you that rally drivers prefer Nokian though. That counts for a lot, too (just think of the driving conditions!!). I did a lot of research on it last year, dealt with lots of tires and lots of dealers, decided on Nokians through recommendations and a good local tire shop with a great rep.
If they're not a Tirerack recommended dealer, they should be.
(Concord Tire, Concord, NH by the way.)
