Default Help buying rims!

I plan on buying CCW wheels for my S2000. I want to do either a 17x 10.5 or 17x11 rear wheel with a 295 or 305 tire but it seems like that size isn't as available with the 17" rim? Also should i be worried about the diff, axles or transmission with the wider tire?

Thanks

Do you plan on launching the car ever? If so, I would be concerned with the diff.

Do you own or plan to buy a widebody? Do you plan on racing? And if you really want to run that wide a tire, I believe you have more choices with 18s.

Once i finish my Supercharger setup the car should be around 380whp and i want the wider tire to help the rear end. I was looking at maybe getting a 285 tire because they seem to be easier to find.
I don't plan on going wide body, instead i will get a offset that will allow the rim to fit.

How big of difference is running the 18" rim when it comes to handling/ performance?

Are you planning on rolling and flaring the fenders?

Unless your two best friends are road noise and poor gas mileage you may want to consider other options, Also the steering is going to be very heavy. - CAT is making 500hp with his and has been very happy with 9/10 wide 949 wheels even for heavy track use. At that power level you are really going overboard on the width. You will also have to be concerned with the hubs themselves breaking. There used to be a fix for it but I am not sure if the company is still around.
