Default tire width/tire size/wheel size/offset

I know this is a pretty lame question, but iv never bought wheels before so here it goes.
I really like these 18" rims with a rear offset of 45 is that too "off" from stock.
? would the tire width say 8 instead of 9, 9.5 help any.
? does the "thickness" of the tire relate any to the offset say 225, 245..etc
? and is 45mm offset on 17" as BAD as it is for 18"

I'm aware that rolling the fenders will help but would it be enough

thx TQto

Hi,

Welcome to the boards... I will help you as best I can. Feel free to correct me if I am wrong.

18" wheels I don't believe will rub with a 235 tire and a fair amount of negative camber.

Tire width definitely helps with clearance on the car.
An 18x9" wheel with a +45mm offset will cause rubbing. You may want to run a 235-245 rear and you will need to run more negative camber or roll your fenders. If you roll your fenders, you should be able to run a wider rear tire.

An 18x9" wheel will be approximately 1.18" closer to your fender than the factory AP2 wheels so keep this in mind when purchasing wheels.

I hope this helps.
