Default Help with Fitment Work Emotions

Hey guys. Im still learning the whole fitment thing with my car.. so please bare with me. I daily my car and want to track/autoX it eventually.. I really like these wheels and just want them for daily use. I will prob get a set of enkeis or something for track use.

Any way I am looking at getting Work Emotions XD9's 17X9 + 38 for the front and 17X10 +38 for the rear.. will my fenders need rolling? do you guys recommend a differt sizing? I want just a little aggresive stance.. I dont want to roll my fenders but if i have to i will.. also what tires do you guys recc? Once again I am a nweeb to this. I know mostly about performance work and detailing lol.. I will appreiciate the help!

PS wheels will be in a metal buff finish going on a 01 spa yellow

You need to do more research. Fitments like that require at least a full fender roll, stretched tires, and a lot of negative camber. Even that might not do it, probably need a fender pull/flare also if you want a decent tire width.

No fender mods in those wheel widths would need an offset around +60 or higher.

I got the idea after looking at this S.

Maybe I should go with a +8 and +9?

+8 and +9 what? And this is yet another case of "I saw this picture and think its cool so I will ask without doing any of my own research." I am running fairly similar wheel specs 17x9 +43 245/40/17 front and 17x10 +35 255/40/17 rear. I had to roll and pull my fenders ALOT to make them fit and also dial in my camber in order to not have issues. So it is possible to fit the spec you posted but not without a lot of time with the fender roller and a good alignment. Unless you have your own fender roller and know what you are doing I would suggest doing this.

This. Looking at that picture, how can you think that would even be close to fitting without a fender roll? Of course you can make it work (someone already did) but you specifically mentioned not wanting to roll your fenders which would limit you to offsets similar to stock.

lol..of course im doing my own research just thought it would be easier to narrow down answers in my own thread. Obviously I thought it looked cool thats why I want the wheels.. I shouldve asked what is the most aggresive set up I can run without rolling fenders..

They'll fit with some stretched tires, and some fender work. Your best bet is to find someone local to you who has experience with fender rolling on our cars. I was able to make much more aggressive wheels fit mine, anything's possible with enough work and attention to detail. With those sizes, you'll be playing with millimeters to make it all work.
