Default HELP! - stock wheels don't fit?????

I bought a used set of stock tires and wheels and they don't fit.
They look exactly like the stock rims, same size, even had the worn s-02s on them, the enkei stamp on the inside, etc , BUT the center of the wheel where the hub sticks through is too small.
The S needs 3" but the wheel only has 2.5".
What the hell?
Anyone have any ideas?
They supposedly came off of an 01 and my car is a '00 but the part number is the same.
Did they come off of another honda perhaps?
I wasnt aware of any other 5 lug honda that had that same wheel design.

Is it possible that you have the front and back wheels mixed up?

That is really strange. Everything should match up. I'm with lig, have you ever had aftermarket wheels?

My vote goes with Ted's guess. The back wheels will not fit on the front- although you can do reverse as illustrated my the owners manual in the case of a flat in the back. Check and make sure you are not trying to fit a 7.5" wide rim on the front. Of course if the wheels won't fit on the front or back then this is not the problem.

Yeah I know there are front and rear wheels, so do the guys at the body shop who originally called me with the problem.
No wheel fits any corner, the hubs on all 4 corners are 3" diameter and the hole in the wheel center is 2.5".

The hub ring idea is a good one though, I has SSR Integrals on it before and I'm pretty sure they used rings. I'll go back to the shop and make sure they didn't leave them on the car.

Thanks for the ideas guys!

Mystery solved!

Thanks lig!
I went by the shop and checked this morning and the rings were still pressed onto the hubs.

I did notice one of the wheels laying face down on the concrete at the shop, I hope thay haven't trashed the finish on the spokes

Thanks again guys, mystery solved.
