That's because those tire sizes are so ridiculous that they don't even exist. A 185/35/17 is 2.5" shorter diameter than stock! Regardless of tire width, you need to make sure you at least keep the diameter close to stock. Bottom line, if you want any kind of stretch and run a reasonable tire size then you need to step up your wheel width, at least 8"/9". Minimum tire size I would run is 215/45/17 front and 245/40/17 rear. For a stretch, you will need at least 8.5" wheel front and 9.5" rear. I suppose you could run 205/45 and 225/40 if you don't mind sacrificing handling, at least the diameter is close.
This got me I can't believe people want to do this to an S2000...make it handle far worse than stock...just
