how much wider will a 265 be than a 255.?

Thumbs up how much wider will a 265 be than a 255.?

I have 17x8+49 with a 225/45 front and 17x9.5+55 with a 255/40 rear lowered with maybe with half a finger gap left fenders rolled ..been debating on going 265/40 in the rear but I know different brand tires will come in different sizes I have azenis and as far as I know they dont have a 265 so just want to make sure it's gonna ..? edit..will it fit without rubbing alot of fender..?

265 would technically be just 10mm wider by measurement but generally speaking you should allow for 1/2"-3/4" wider TOTAL tire size due to possible bulge or other factors. If you're buying the same brand and type of tire you'll be able to look up overall width from the manufacturer or Tire Rack.

We do have the specs on all of the tires listed. Keep in mind a wider wheel will change the section width.
