Default I need some help please on installing my wheels tonight please

I just received some Miglia EVO 5's and I have a mounting question. This is the exact setup that Darkknight1999 has.

Is it as easy as taking off the OEM wheel and putting on the new wheel? It seems to not go on "as far" as the oem rims. I noticed on the new wheels that there is a black ring on the back of the wheel that almost seems "plastic", although I know it must not be, and seems to prevent the wheel from going in an extra 3-5 millimeters.

HELP?

The plastic ring btw is about 3 inches and close to the lugs.

Its a centering ring, they are used on most aftermarket rims to center the wheel on the hub. Makes it so the wheel isn't eccentric to the hub and allows the lugnuts to tighten down correctly.

It does not allow the wheel to sit up against the hub though. It would seem difficult to know how much each lug should be torqued down to keep it even.

Well, leave it out then.

Just make sure you have the wheel fully seated on the hub and that the lugnuts are fully seated in the wheel. You may have to move the wheel around a bit to make this happen. When you have the wheel on there and the lugnuts snug, give the wheel a spin and look for any up and down wheel runout. You shouldn't have any.....

Maybe the rings are the wrong size. Are they supposed to be able to fit over the ring on the hub (around it I guess would be a better term) becuase it does not. It wants to sit right on top of it instead.

OK...I am searching and I am learning. The ring is the wrong size. The Evo measurement should be 79.5 but the inner diameter is incorrect.

Anyone know what the correct inner diameter would be for an s2000? I am to understand it is different for the front and rear? Geeezzz.

Sorry I didn't notice this earlier...

As stated earlier in the thread they are hub centeric centering rings. You can leave them off, I do. However you can call whoever you purchased them from and have the right size rings sent to you but you really don't need them. I've been driving on mine for about 2 years with out a problem.
