Default Installing hubcentric rings?

Just got a set of aftermarket rims/tires, and got a set of hubcentric rings with them. How do you install these? Do they pop into the inside bore of the wheel itself, or do you place them around the the center of the hub directly on the car, and then mount the wheels after after?

Either way, it all works out the same once the wheel is torqued down. Make sure they don't stay on the hub if you ever need to put OEM wheels back on.
