Default Issue with my winter tires

Alright so about Augusts 2008, I got my car, and since its a daily driver year round first thing i got were some winter tires and rims. After going to a couple places many recommended Fast wheels Tarantulas, and since I know dick all about rims, they looked pretty decent for winter. I went to Kipling Tire Co Ltd on 837 Kipling Avenue, Etobicooke, Toronto Canada, and they looked into the rims for me to see if it would fit. They got back to me and informed me the rims would fit and suggested for winter "ultra grip performance 255/45 R17 94V”, thus I got them. They were put at the shop and I drove all last winter on them. So now its winter again I went to put the winter tires on myself since i invested in a torque wrench and jack and surprise they don’t seem to fit properly (always a gap). HMMMM, it appears that the center circle wont fit (dont know what its called) i'll post pics, I measured it and it appears to be half a cm smaller then my stock rims. Now i'm thinking they sold me rims that do not fit and had some idiot put them on improperly last year, which makes me worried since I drove all last winter on them . I have not spoken with the owners who I dealt with last year, since they close early on Saturdays apparently. However I’m going to see them Monday morning and don’t know how they are going to deal with it, but I am already mad. (first pic is whole that doesn’t appear to be allowing the rim to sit properly, second pic is of the rim). If anyone know what might be the problem I’m vary open suggestions. And does anyone/sponsors know if this rim even fits on the s2000 as i'm starting to believe it doesn't. I apologize for the improper terminology. Thanks!
Ray

Rim whole that I think is too small

Are you talking about the center cap or the bolts? Are you using a spacer? I looked up your wheels and the bolt pattern is correct: 5x114.3

255s are also pretty wide to run in the winter on this car. I went to AP1 wheels for my winter setup (225s in rear down from stock 245). Narrow tires tend to cut through snow with more ease.

False alarm!!!!!! it turns out I can't do a tire rotation with this set up, they orginally said i would so i didn't bother to check if there were any difffernces. and apparently the hub centric ring are different sizes for front and rears and i hadn't really checked since i thought they were all the same. woops,

Thanks for looking into for me Mark355!! and that was total mis print on my part there 225 NOT 255 that would crazy!!!
