I need to get some new rubber in a few weeks. I do not want the S02's because of all the negative threads I have read about how fast they wear out.
I do not drag race, the S will never see a track, though I might drive spirited once in a blue moon. 90% of my driving is done on the freeway, and I could care less about traction in the water for the lack of rain we have here in AZ. Will want tire sizes 225/45/17 for the front, and 255/40/17 for the rear. I purchased a set of the CE28Ns from the Evo group buy. Thanks a lot Jim.
By the way, the fronts are 7.5 wide, and the rears are 9 in wide.

I've been happy with the Yoko ES100 in that size combo, except for at the track, where they wore excessively. They have a 280 treadwear (double stock tires) and grip well rain or shine. The only way I can break them loose is cold wet weather, or autocross. During their life span, they have never made noise or ridden harshly.

I know I'm not Jim, but he might agree

You can look at a tire like the ES100 that aggie has and they should give you what you are looking for. Other options would be the Kumho 712 and the new Goodyear GSD-3. The GSD-3 would be the best handling of the 3 and the 712 not as good as the other 3 tires.
Bang for the buck the ES100 is hard to beat for the combination of performance, tread life and price.
If I can help let me know.
Thank you

Yes, they will keep the same rolling diameter.
