Just wanted to see what everyone thinks of these tires. I did a search and found a mixed bag of good and bad comments? I'm curious to see if I can find any more. Thanks.

 

To be honest-THEY SUCK!! I would never imagine putting them on a RWD S2000, as I had them on a AWD 3000GT VR4 in a 275/35ZR18 size, and they were by FAR the worst handling, cornering, performing tire that car ever had on it. I tried to make them work, air pressure adjustments, keeping them longer to "break them in" but they were just plain terrible. I gave them away for free just so I could justify buying something else. If you want a less expensive tire and you like Kumho it sounds like people love the MX, but cancel those 712's. Anyone who thinks differently is expressing their opinion, BUT in real performance measures those who have used a good quality tire should not argue that the 712's are inferior.

entry level tire.. i prefer the ecsta mx's a whole lot more

 

Just switched my order to ECSTA MX. Thanks to Jim for helping make it so easy. It seems based on what you guys said and everyone else on the board, the 712s just aren't that good (though they may be good for the price)

 

Good decision to switch! I think you will love the MX's, seems a lot of people here like them.
