Default Kinesis wheels on my AP2

I am having a set of 18 inch Kinesis wheels made for my S2000 and I plan on running the Advan Neova tire. The sizes I have chosen are 225/40 18 for the front and 285/30 for the rear. This may sound like an extremely aggressive stagger however with a front tread width of 8.7" and a rear tread width of 11"; this is very similar in proportion to the factory AP2 Bridgestones which have a 6.7" front tread width and a 9" rear tread width. both of these allow for a 2.3 inch difference front to rear and add exactly 2 inchs more tire width front to rear. I am looking for anyone with experience running a similar setup on an S2000 to comment or anyone who has extensive knowledge on setting up the alignment on an S2000 with a similiar setup. Thank you for your assitance.

Your ratio is incorrect I believe.

This setup as I specified simply adds 2 inchs to the front and the rear compared to stock. Have you run a simliar setup? Any ideas?

I bought my Kinesis wheels used with 285 SO3 rear and 225 wide SO2 front. The car had neutral handling atleast for slightly harder than normal use. I never pushed on the road or went to the track. I just put some Falken GRB tires on the back to replace the crappy SO3's and still have the now slightly corded SO2's on the front and the handling is definately understeer. I have the front tires on order, I'll post how it handles when I get them. 285 rear and 225 front has the same ratio using the Falkens as AP1 factory tires with just a slight bit more toward understeer (1/5" more tread than ratio on the rear) which I consider a good thing with supercharged power. I can use a little more throttle on the turns this way. Should be much better for street driving.

Jeez, if you guys have any interest in a stiffer front sway bar and suspension, you should consider reducing the stagger more.
Makes the car more neutral handling and a blast at the track if that's your kinda thing.

255/285 would be an awesome set up. Most of the track guys are running 245/275 or 255/275 with good results.

that better be toe in??

is'nt toe in negative and out positive?? or have I been playing too much GT4??

did you lower the rear more than the front?? where did you find this much rear camber??

I think there are more balanced setups

One of the major reasons I liked these sizes is the fact that they are not that much taller then the stock tires. This will keep the roll center as low as possible. Stepping up to even the 235 in the front the tire is about an inch taller. Any insight on this?
