Larger wheels without lowering?
Thinking about buying some new wheels... Will buying 17's or 18's still look good on the car with stock suspension? I've never bought aftermarket wheels, and I've seen some cars that look like they're riding higher with aftermarket wheels without new springs. Did they just not get the right tire size? I don't want huge wheelgap or anything.
Also, recommendations on wheels for a spa?

If you choose the correct size tire the gap is going to be the same. The car does look better lowered and it will handle better but I would suggest the wheels and tires first and then lower the car. That way you get to see and feel what you are spending your money on.
If I can help let me know.

Just learned the hard way to be extra careful buying items on ebay. I purchased a set of Stern ST1 wheels (18 x 8 fr/ 18 x 9.5 rr 48mm offset) from a "highly" rated seller, who claims to "guarantee" that their wheel sets will fit a S2000. Before I bought the wheels, I even asked them to confirm that the wheels will fit, which they did.
Turns out, the rear 18 x 9.5 wheels stick out 0.5-inch beyond the fender lip. The rear tires rub the fenders every time I cross train tracks, drive over a dip on the freeway, or drive one side of the car over a speed bump. I checked with other professionals about what can be done, and they all agree that the wheels have the wrong offset.
The seller now says that the wheels were mounted so he cannot exchange them for a pair that will fit. So much for a guarantee!!! Since the only way to communicate with these ebay vendors is via email, they do not to respond unless you hound them. Even then, they take their sweet time.
I am so done with ebay. It is worth paying more and buying from a reputable vendor from whom you can get a true guarantee.
