Leaving SoCal for New Mexico
I have a MY03 that I am taking from SoCal to Santa Fe, New Mexico in a month or so. Santa Fe is *dry* and at 7000 ft (snow melts pretty quickly), but I'll likely drive the car elsewhere. To make things more complicated, I have a steep driveway to get out of my new house. The car now has original wheels shod with Hankooks that are as close to the original tires as I can find. I have never lived outside of SoCal and know nothing about snow tires.
Advice is solicited about getting some wheels (used original ones in good shape seem most appropriate) and appropriate winter tires. Or am I better off getting all-season tires?
If moving the car is a *bad idea*, please tell me. I could live with a used Acura RDX with 4WD.

in reference to santa fe its very similar to albuquerque with snow days that dont last more than a day or two.
i dd my s with star specs (dunlops) and its drives AWESOME and no worries. (btw i dont drive my car nice and take occasional trips to the crest, etc)
honestly if you drive safe and have some good all seasons i think you'll be good to go. the need for winter tires may have been good for the month of december and january. now that jan is over i dont think your going to have to be worrying about snow anymore.
