max tire width allowable in the front
i just bought the SOS advan rg2D setup (standard sizes)
17x8.0+54 (front) and 17x9.0+60 (rear)
can i get away with running a 245 in the front? the tire setup im looking for initially was a 235 F and 255 R (both being 40 series height)
tire rack is out of the RS3's and i need to get my car running.
can i get away with running a 245/40/r17 in the front and have a 255/40/R17 in the back?
the car has KW's on it and i have no problem wtih functional ride hight as long as i dont thing things rubbing or scraping.
any help / input / wisdom is appreciated. (and i dont want to deal with fender rolling in the rear but might for the front (as a last resort measure)

Autocross guys (like myself) run 255's in the front all the time without modded fenders. As long as you aren't slammed on your kw's you should be fine with 245's. Your front offset it a bit different than what we run, but stepping down the 10 mm in width will help.
I have an ap1 running a very common STR setup for autox. Four ap2v1 rears with 255 rs-3's all around. I do have the saner front sway bar set on the third hole, and am lowered about 1" on buddy club n+'s. In street driving conditions I have zero rubbing. During races I crank the front shock stiffness up almost to max and have only felt a rub once which can likely be attributed to the awful surface we were on.
