Default Meaty Tires to make the car a bit higher

Hey guys,

So im faced with a little delema, and im tyring to see if this trick can work.
i have horibble roads where im from, but i hate to see wheel gap.

im purchasing 18" wheels on my ap1. i had 18" on my ap2 and i had 225/40/18s in the front and 255/35/18 in the back.
to eliminate the wheel gap, i had to drop the car a bit lower than the roads can manage. i was constantly scraping and hitting my lip.

so i was thinking... to put a meatier tire on these rims, so i can drop the car
to eliminate the wheel gap, and still have the car a bit higher than the last s2000
i had.

you think that will work? and whats a good tire size without looking like slicks?

wouldnt 225/45/18 look too big in the front?
anyone have pics of that?

thanks

With the car lowered and a taller tire you are probably going to rub. Pluse you would throw off the speedometer, odometer and gear ratio.
I would not recommend it.
