I agree with you though, it would be nice if others weren't so reluctant to run lower offsets... It would make wheels a lot easier to sell
Its not reluctantancy to run low offsets. Its the work involved to get them to fit. I've really not seen "stretch" tires as most s2k guys are saying that I'm used to. If you want to see actual stretch tires then check out the vip forums. You can get much wider and lower offsets to fit if the tires were really stretched. I'm a novice to the s2k in terms of clearance but coming from a gs300. I've been spoiled with low offset and deep lip wheels. IIgq4u, you are one of the guys on the forum pushing the envelope with the s2k. I really think you can go wider. The only thing is 17's are limited to one face and not many options. 18's have multiple faces which give lip but run bigger in diameter.

Yeah, I know that I can do more but I really do not want to. I don't like the look of the bead of the wheel protruding outward moreso than the tire... I think it's just ugly. I also am not too fond of running 18" wheels on my car which is why I never have.

In regards to non-hubcentric wheels, I have personally never experienced wheel vibrations on any of the wheels I have owner for this car. I have however made my wheels hub-centric in the past as well.

The thing you would have to worry about is the wheels are not going to be hub centric. The S2K has the larger hub in the front so you are going to have vibrations.
What wheels are you talking about? If you are talking about the mustang wheels... that is correct, but I would never run them on my car even if they did fit... this was just to see where 8 +30 fits on a S2000

you can always get hubcentric rings to alleviate the problem..

I stretch tires so I can fit the wheels.. no other reason than that on a s2k.
on the 240sx, i'd stretch to fit and have easier breakaway when drifting, but that doesnt pertain to s2k
we normally fit 255 on 11" wheels, haha.

Im pretty sure those mustang GT wheels are a 17x8 +32. I know the 2mm offset difference from what you posted isnt really anything, just saying.. I had a set of those on my FC RX-7.

Where did you get your numbers from? I looked all over and found 8 +30 the most, so I went with that one... it's really hard to find for this version of mustang wheels

Small world... I think I saw that post in my search. I don't know I guess 8 +31 with a tol of +/-1mm is the way to go on this one b/c I wasn't able to find a concrete answer... but I did find a lot of 8 +30 and I think a few of their other wheels are like that... but if someone's sizing their wheels it might be best to be bias toward the lower offset to make sure it fits I guess
