Even if they have as much or slightly better ultimate grip as the extreme performance tires can they take heat as well on a track? Also assuming you have non stagger and can fully claim their 30k warranty, there is no way in hell you would come close to that if you were tracking your car (even 3 or 4 trackdays per year). You would most likely kill all four in 10-15k and michellin would give you the middle finger if you asked for a new set of tires or a heavily discounted set... especially if you keep it up 2 or 3 sets of tires later. Not to keep being a debbie downer but any new tire thats supposed to be as good or better than the previous ones you had are going to feel better than the old ratted out tires you had on before. I would like to see tirerack or grassroots do another tire comparison with all of the extreme performance tires and these.

Those ratings are within the tire's specified tire segment - (Extreme Performance Summer, Max Performance Summer, Ultra High Performance Summer, etc), so no, TR is not suggesting that the PSS have more dry traction than the Star Spec or the A048s
So the star specs are more grippy than the pss

They are more grippy than the PS2 but not as grippy as the AD08 or RS3. I have them on my M3. They are a perfect street tire with a lot of wet grip and a great ride/handling tradeoff.

It seems that the PSS are the best trade off for DD and a fews track day

Just ordered a set for my 2008 today to replace OEM Bridgestone RE 050's. Will report back in a few weeks after I have some experience with them on the car. By the way, my S is totally stock.

On the S2K the warranty would be 30K on the front and 15K on the rear. They are an excellent handling tire in wet and dry. They are not as good for the track as say the Star Spec, RE-11 or the AD08. For a car that is occasionally tracked but the same tires are used for the street these are excellent.
