Default Motegi Tracklites

Hey I had a quick question for you guys. What would be the best combo for front and rear wheels. I was looking at putting a 17x9 245x45x17 in the rear, and a 17x7 with a 205x50x17 in the front let me know if there is a better combo.. I am looking at getting the motegi tracklites. Thanks

I only show a 17X8 ET45 wheel available. To have a chance of making this work it would have to be with 215/45R17 front and 225/45R17 rear tires. It would still be tight with the 45mm offset. I have the wheel in stock at 288.00 per wheel.
If I can help let me know.

Jim, the fronts are where he'd really need to worry with 17x8. The rears with that fitment and the euro alignment should be fine to go for the 245/40 tire. This is of course using the wheel specs you shared not the make believe sizes the OP asked about. Motegi also makes a 17x7 ET42 that would be fine on the front.

Yeah, I want to kep the 205 in the front because I think the car would push on the 225 in the fronts. If I go 17x8 in the rear I should be able to go with the 245x45 right? With the front I could go 205x50 with the 17x7? I could possibly go 215 in the front to but I definitely want the wider wheel in the back and the not so wide wheel in the front..Thanks for the help, any suggestions on light tires that still hold up. I know about the Porxes T1rs any good?

The 205/50R17 is not going to fit the 17X8 wheel. That is why I would go 215/45R17.

Think you got your terms mixed up. More grip up front will induce oversteer. Push is understeer.

Ohhh about the understeer and oversteer thing. Jim, I could put the 17x7 on the front and then put the 17x8 on the rear couldn't I. I would like to know the best combo for tire and wheel size. Anybody who autocrosses your help is appreciated.

Thanks

Steve
