The Neova is one of the best out there right now. It is as close to a track tire as you can get for the street.
So, you think the Neova is better than the A048 (which is a DOT-approved R-compound tire)?

I ran through two sets of rears in the time it took to run through one set of fronts of the A048's. Stock AP1 wheels as well. they were great in the dry but once work they were really sketchy in any sort of rain. damp conditions were ok.

I got about 5000 miles per set of rears. 10,000 per set of fronts.

if you dont do any wet driving and the car isnt your daily driver I HIGHLY reccomend them. The sidewall is very stiff and it really helps with feel. plus the grip is outstanding.

5,000 miles dosent sit well with me. At least it makes your car feel amazing though.

I would like to get a set of these for my S, but they do not offer a 275 for a 17" rim. Widest they go is 255. Also, if you are looking to get a little more tread life out of the tire, you can get the medium-hard compound tire.

2 nights ago, I took a sweeping curve on the freeway at 130mph. The car just stayed planted, the tires never came close to their grip limit. You REALLY have to throw the car into a corner to even get a chirp out of the tires. The more corners I take with these tires, the more impressed I become.
Just a word of caution. These are racing tires, so they have less gray area between planted on rails and oh my god I'm sliding into the barrier. Unlike street tires, they will not make much noise before they let go and you'll have less time to feel the tire slip and try to correct the car. Of course you'll be cornering a lot faster before the limit is reached, which will give you bigger consequences too.

You definitely want to be paying more attention when pushing it.

Interesting that you say that, mine have been making more noise than my RE050s ever did. I will agree that between "I can handle this" and "I'm going to die" is a smaller area, but I feel the tires warn you enough. Not a license to be stupid with them, however.

As to 275s, I can't even imagine what that might feel like. I'm running 215s up front and the 255s in the back, I think you'd need over 300 rwhp to make good use of more during a launch. The cornering could only be phenominal with those, though.

Wow, mine's stock. How do your tires react to that kind of power? I can't break mine loose in a straight line without a really high RPM launch anymore, hard for me to guage.
