In my view, mismatching the front tires or mismatching the back tires are not very good. Mismatching a set of matching front or back tires is not as big of an issue. Also, if the mismatching tires are similar in performance than it should also not be that big of a deal.

1) Your fronts and rears do not have to be the same, but both L/R front need to be the same, and both L/R rear need to be the same.
2) http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires....ce+T%2FA+KDW+2 I see both 245 and 255's listed.
3) Recycle your old fronts; whomever takes your tires off can do this. It would be the exact same thing they do if they changed all 4 tires...

Seems like a good opportunity to upgrade.

Bridgestone's new RE-11A and Dunlop's new ZII are both very reasonably priced and should outperform those tires in just about every way except perhaps tread life.

What size rear tire are you running? If you are running the stock ap2 size, 245/40/17, just switch to a 255/40/17 (oem cr size)

You can mix and match your front to rear, but if you are doing any kind of extreme spirited driving, I wouldnt recommend it.
