Default Need a consensus

So I need new tires and decided to go ahead and make the jump to 17" wheels while I'm at it. I've got a Berlina Black AP1 and after searching for the past couple weeks, I've decided on Motegi MR122's in gold. Now the dilemma: Some websites (tire rack included), say these won't fit. Other websites, like this one, say they will fit.

It's a 17x8 5x4.5 with an offset of +48. By all I can figure, these should fit. But why are some websites saying other wise? I'm planning to run a square set up since my S is a daily driver.

Picture for reference:

They should fit as long as the hub bore is t to small. It is worth mentioning that you will still be narrower than oem ap2 rears. Do they not make a 9 inch wide one so you can run a staggered setup?

You will need to roll your front fenders. Rears might be ok but you might get them done to be safe.

Shouldn't need to roll anything with that fitment, unless he is dropped low or/and going to run some meats up front. If just the OEM 215/245 sizes are being used I wouldn't be concerned. But always nice to do to run more rubber in the future, or change ride height if decided.

Enh the fronts could still be an issue. Maybe if he isn't lowered he will be ok but if he is definitely the fronts.

Stock ride height, but I plan to roll the front fenders anyway. Mainly because I plan on putting 225's up front. Going to run 245's out back. The hub bore is 72.60, which I believe is larger than the OEM? Don't really remember to be honest though

The wheel should fit just fine.

If you need the hub rings for them, shoot me a PM, I have one extra set.

Stock bore sizes:
70.3 Fronts (need 2.3mm ring)
64.1 Rears (need 8.5mm ring)

The link you posted does not list the s2000 (unless I missed it). 17x8 +48 will fit without any fender mods. I would not recommend them though. 8" is to narrow in the rear. If you do run them, I would recommend running 215/45 in the front- a 225 will fit, but a 215/45 has the same rotational diameter as a 245/40. If you run 225/245, your front tire's sidewall will be larger than the rear.

How is an 8" too narrow? That's .5" wider than the stock size.

And here's a picture of the sidewall comparisons. They're ALMOST identical:

I could run a 245/45 out back if the sidewall is really that big of a concern:

It's not a huge difference- it is 1/3". I am a stickler for equal rotational diameter, or a larger diameter in the rear. Realistically it won't make that much of a difference, and most would just say I am just being anal.
8" is better than ap1 width, but ap1 widths suck lol. This is how I see it, a 245/40 has a fairly large sidewall, most tires have weak sidewalks to begin with, and ballooning a 245 on a 8" wheel will put unwanted stress on an already weak sidewall. I would take ballooning over stretching any day though.
Take my opinion as just that- an opinion. That setup isn't optimal, but it is still better than the stock ap1 setup. I prefer 8.5 or 9 for rear widths.
