Yea the '04s are 17". Would having toyo's T1r's in the front and a different set on the back be bad?
Not a wise idea of you like spirited driving...

www.edgeracing.com

Hankook RS-2 Z212
215/45-17 = $99/tire
245/40-17 = $116/tire
TOTAL = $430 + S/H

I like the Fuzion ZRI and the General Exclaim UHP if you are not an aggressive driver. These two tires are going to be good in the wet and longer wearing but not as good in the dry. If you push the car I like the Kumho MX for the money.
If I can help let me know.

Check out what I suggested above, Falken FK452.

Pricing from EdgeRacing.com on 215/45 front and 245/40 rear
Toyo T1r: $121 front, $132 rear
Falken 452: $92 front, $105 rear

I would imagine they'd be very comparible to the T1R's and as you can see, cost a good deal less. I'm running the older FK451's on my daily driver and have autocrossed on them as well and have been really impressed. The 452 is supposed to be better in just about every way.

Good Find!! The tread pattern is practically identical.

Why not the Falken Azenis RT-615
They don't make this tire for 245/40-17 or 215/40-17, or they don't make it in the Dallas-Midcities area. I don't want to buy tires off the internet because with the shipping you can pretty much just get the tires local. Less hassle too. Anyway, this tire isn't sold locally or they just don't make it in the right size.

I like the Cooper Zeon 2XS used them on my Porsche 924S, and just put them on my S2000. The tread pattern resembles the Michelin and the Falken 452.

I like that it is made in the US. Quality is very, very good. Tires are round and true and do not require a lot of wheel weights to balance.
