When I saw 315 on +17 offset I was assuming you were running over fenders and/or after market fenders. If not, in addition to the tire size on a 9 inch wheel, might look ridiculous.

offset doesnt matter when it comes to tire size on the width of the rim... whys everyone posting the offset?

Because stupidly low offset (sticks out far) with a very wide tire (sticks out far) would have a very difficult time fitting. Not without wide fenders anyway. It's not a question of the tire fitting on the wheel, it's the wheel/tire fitting on the car.

I was reading about the mustang guys doing this on NT555s bc they're notoriously skinny, but NT05s...those bubble quite a bit

I think the proper 255 size tire would have better contact than a 315 mounted on a 9" wheel. As for alignment, a lot of drivers have their own alignment depending on their driving style. I'm still a novice myself. 315's must of cost you a lot.
