Need new tires
My oem Bridgestones are almost bald on the inside fronts backs aren't too bad but going to replace all four. I have a apt2 with oem wheels stock suspension and looking at the Sumitomo HTR Z III and the Yokohama S Drive's. I think the Yokohamas look better but does anybody have experience with these two tires? I don't autox but live down 14 miles of very windy road and tend to drive somewhat aggesive. I know Dunlap Star Specs are the thing right now but I'm on a serious budget right now. I'm thinking of the 215/255 setup. I've heard that setup is good for the Sumi's will it work as well for the Yoko's? Which tire is going to give me the best traction? Thanks.

Go to tirerack and look at reviews. I just bought The Yokohama Advan Neova AD07s and when i posted up my purchase everyone nutted on the track performance i will gain over almost every other tire. But the tread wear is a little more than usual from what i hear. Also, the sidewalls are a little weak from what i read. But that is if you dont drive smooth. I plan on driving from Va Beach to Tampa Florida on them and back. I read a guys review that said he went from Virginia to florida to Cali without a single problem and still feels comfortable romping around on them. Also check the new Goodyear Eagle F1 GS3s. They out performed the Advans AD07s in Car & Drivers tire test.

Dunlop Z1 FTW.
I have the Sumitomo HTRZ III in 225/255 17inch wheel on my car right now. My brother has the Yoko S-drives 225 allround 18inch wheel on his Audi TT Quattro. I know they are 2 different cars but I might be able to give you some idea since I drive both all the time.
The Sumitomo's took forever to break in for me, like 700 miles. Dissapointed me at first but now they are 85% of the performance and 150% better in the wet then the Dunlops.
THe audi drives awesome in the rain cause of the AWD but I don't think the S-drives will hold as well as the Sumi's. I was debating on puting S-drives as a DD tire for my S2k, but I don't regret my decision at all with the Sumi's. They both have a 300 tread rating and I think they have pretty much the same wear. Make sure you break them in, and they'll have a little more sidewall flex then the Dunlops. I would get the 215 front, 255rear and not 225 if you are on the stock alignment. I have the UK alignment which helps keep the rear end in check with the meatier front. FYI
I don't have any experience with the stock Bridgestone Reo50 though.
