Default Need some advice ordering tires.

Ok so my rims will be here first week of april and I need some tires.

the rims are enkei rpr1 in 17x8 +45 and 17x9+45 in silver.
My car is completely stock but I'm going to lower it on springs, something like tein s techs.

So I want to know what sizes can I run if I roll and remove my rear bumper tabs, I'm still on the fence about what needs to be done in the front to fit a nice tire.

I want a meaty look vs. some stretched tire look.
maybe someone from tire rack can shine in since I plan on ordering through them and also tell me at which tire I should be looking at. I'm looking for a summer tire with good traction on dry and wet surfaces. I have kuhmo asx right now and the car feels very unstable when it's wet. I also want to be able to get some miles on them as I plan to drive my car a lot this summer.
Here is a picture of the car:

Since i took those pictures I have replaced the emblems with the red JDM ones and was also wondering what color lugnuts and valve stems I should go with. I'm getting the rays extended and rays valve stems. I like blue but I think that with the emblems and rear diff brace being red blue would look out of place but maybe red lugz and valve stems it will be too much ?

I just ordered Dunlop Direzza Star Spec's in stock size. You may not want to put lowering springs on stock struts. I just had one blow and they are $$ to replace. My lowering springs are coming off and I am going stock on struts, springs and tire/rim size.

215/45R-17 fronts
245/40R-17 rears

This is the stock size for a 2004. Go to Tire Rack.com or Discount Tire Direct.com and you will find the correct size for your year.

I would really caution you from buying lowering springs. Here is a quote from a sticky in the suspension thread from S2KI:

"The stock suspension on the S2000 is an extremely well designed system for our car, and many modifications will actually cause the car’s performance to decrease.

Springs:
Springs are the lowest cost suspension mod you can do, and can significantly alter the look and handling of your S2k. If what you’re looking for is to have your car sit lower to the ground for the “bling” effect, springs are the most cost-effective way to do it.

There’s a trade-off here. The stock suspension was engineered specifically for the stock spring height. When you put in shorter springs, you mess up the geometric design of the system. Frankly, the car will not handle as well. (No matter what self professed “experts” might say.) Lowering springs alone are for looks only. Not only will they not improve the handling of your S2000, but they will actually diminish it."

yeah i'm aware springs are fro looks and that is exactly what i'm looking. I had other cars on tein springs and didn't notice any loss in handling,
I will be switching to coilovers next year so i'm not worried about messing up my shocks.

So today I ordered:

Rays extended red lug nuts
mxp red lug nuts
rays red valve stems
Espelir ASDs
AEM v2 intake

Tomorrow I'm ordering a set of star specs in 225/45/17 and 255/40/17.

I have a question though:
Will a 255/40 fit on the enkei rpf-1 in 17x9 +45 with the espelir asds with just a fender roll and some negative camber ?

your setup will work fine even if you lower it a good 1.5"

So I should go with the 255 ?
I won't have a lot of rubbing issues ?
