Need some advice on tires
Hi guys,
I'll be picking up my MY03 S2K within the next few weeks in Nevada and driving it 8 hours back here to California. The car has about 10K miles on it and the owner has told me it's going to need new tires. I've been doing a little reading and find that this is normal for the S0-2s.
So my dilemma is that i'm not sure if I should replace the rears with the stockers, or if i should go ahead and change all 4 with something more affordable?
I don't really want to spend 300+ dollars on a set of rear tire's when i'm going to have to spend over 500 on a new set of rears for my G35 as well within the next few months.
I know it's not the soundest advice to mix and match tires so i'd like to get your guys thoughts on this..
I've considered going with the T1-Rs if i switch or Yokohama AVS ES100s. I've also seen Fuzions and the Hankook R-S2s and Bridgestone re750s but know little about them. I do some spirited driving sometimes but never track it or really get too crazy on public roads so i just need something decent and above average.
I live in California as i mentioned before so snow is not an issue but sometimes it does rain. I've had Yokohoma's before on my second gen MR2 and i liked them quite a lot but dont know how they really compare to too many other tires.
Of the 5 tires i mentioned which ones would you guys recommend? Which has the best treadlife?
Also, if i go with T1-rs, wheres the best place to get them? I havent found any Toyos on Tire rack.

Yeah, but thats gonna be another 350 dollars out in just another 10K miles. I'd rather spend 400 dollars on all 4s right now if that would be the case.

(ps. The above was said in humour. Please don't get offended and get your panties in a knot. I feel I must state this disclaimer as there have been too many instances lately of individuals who can't take a joke because they seem to be dumber than a bag o' hammers.)

From experience do you any of you know which of these are the best all around tire? Taking into account wet/dry traction and tread life? All of these are within my price range so thats not too much of an issue.
I've run 712's before and was not too happy with them compared to the ES100s.
I've looked at thos ratings but was not sure how trustworthy they are since the simply come from user opinions and there could be a ton of factors that affect each persons opinoin.
