Default In need of some tire recommendations

The previous owner replaced the stock tires on my S with another set of S02's, so I went in and checked on a replacement set of these, but was quoted over 800 bucks! So I was hoping that someone could provide me with another set of tires to look into that wouldn't be so expensive. I have spent some money on suspension modifications so there is no reason to cheap out on tires, but I really think there has to be an alternative than dropping 200 bucks a pop for S02's.

He recommended the Daytona ZR series, but I wanted to get some other opinions.

Also, I wanted to go wider in the rear, but he said that I couldnt. I have stock rims, I thought for sure I could get something wider on there. (They are still stock width) So also recommend some sizes that I could get on there also.

Thanks.

Ok, I just read the Note on tire sizes, looks like I should run 205/55/16's and 245/45/16's.

Wow, people seem very impressed. I might give these a shot. Any idea on how long they take to arrive from tirerack? Im kind of running on threads here.

They dont seem to have the MX's in 205 front 245 rear. I dont think I want to sacrafice any width.

What else would you recommend?

The Goodyear GSD3's seem to be impressive, but they are on backorder everywhere. How long will it take to recieve them?

Keep in mind that you need to check actual widths of any tires you consider and not just go by the rated widths.

So many of the tires are narrower than their rated size would indicate which can really screw up your handling!!!

I thought only the S02's were narrower. It just states in the noted thread that any aftermarket tire should be a 245.
