Default New wheels need advice

I am finally springing for a new set of wheels and tires. I have been waiting for the tires on my stock wheels to go before I dropped cash on a new set. I have a white S2K and I want a set that looks good, performs great, light weight, and that is cheap.

After research I am looking into getting enkei RPF1s. EIther in silver or black (what do you think will look better? I am leaning toward black). I don't plan on lowering the car unless I have to. A decent set of coilovers costs more than I plan on spending and it is hard enough to get up my driveway as it is. I am planning on getting them in 17in of course. probably 8in in the front and 9 in the rear (is that the best fitment?). For tires I would get V12s. I can get all this from tirerack new for 1500ish plus a little shipping. No dealing with used wheels, warn tires, or mounting and balencing fees. I plan on doing this since I wouldn't save much on a used set.

I don't know if this is the best setup that is why I am asking for your opinion. The wheels don't look the best, but are defiantly a balance between everything I am looking for. I am still very open minded though because I don't know a lot about wheels and tires. I do autoX and track days with the car as well as drive the car almost daily during the warmer part of the year. The car also has a lot of performance mods and I should have gotten the wheels a long time ago.

I'd consider the Enkei Racing PF01 it has a high offset 17X9 as well as an appropriate offset 17X8.
This leaves your options open in the future.
You can run the OEM 215 front and 245 rear.
You can run the CR 215 front and 255 rear.
You can run 225 front and 255 rear.
You can buy two more 17X9s and run 245 square.
All without having to roll your fenders.
Also if you ever do decide you want to lower the car that is still an option.

edit: note that going to a square set-up would require other changes to the car (stiffer front sway bar or disconnecting the rear bar or different springs, etc)

Looks Good: rather subjective. What do you like? Split 6 spoke like RPF1s or would you rather have something else? What style of wheel do you like? Also, gold and white look good, so what color were you thinking?

Performs Great: Is this a comment on quality? Like no rotas or Drags?

Light Weight: How light you want to go? Lighter normally means paying more, but it also limits your styles.

Cheap: Price range for new with tires?

I went with TSW nurburgrings from discount tire. Not as common as rpf1s, but also not as light, but also not as expensive. Plus they came in 17x9 +63 fitment so I could fit 255/40 tires without mods. With the money I saved, I bought better tires. the Hankook RS3s. I think they 1300 delivered from Discount tire last year. Don't know how much the price increased now.
However, I use those wheels/tires pretty much for autocross only. I have a set of Momos will all seasons that I do my daily driving on.

what options in the future? I am only wondering because the PF01s are more expensive and heavier. I was also going to get the 225s and 255s since they are wider. Is that the best choice?

By looks good I ment something that looks nicer than stock. I really like the look of the volk 5 spoke wheels but they are a little spendy.

By performs great I ment a lighter weight wheel that wasn't all looks. And also one that was the correct size. So no 25LB 18in wheels

I wanted lighter weight wheels within reason. Looking for some around 16lbs.

And for price I just wanted to balance everything. I'm looking to spend around $1500 - $1600 for the set of wheels and tires all set and done. Although I could spend a little more depending on what im getting.

I just don't really want to mess around with the car modding it for tires to fit. I would like to just bolt the wheels on.

cant go wrong with 17x9 +45 rpf1s. 225/45F and 255/40R for tires. a mild roll and the right alignment is all you need even when lowered. worth it for the right look.

I was quoted $75/fender to have the work done here in Atlanta. Might be a little different for where you live, but likely similar.

If you go with the PF01s you most likely wont need to roll your fenders. Just added camber up front. When you factor in the cost of rolling your fenders I doubt the RPF1s end up cheaper. If you ever decide to lower your car, you wont need rock hard springs to keep the tires from rubbing. And if you ever decide you want to Autocross or Track your car the +60 offsets are better.

would I need to add camber right away?
