The shop where I got my wheel package from tried to get me to go with Nitto 555's. He said they where highly regarded and moderately priced. I opted for Kumho MX's however based on lots of positive feed back on the Tire Rack forums.

great performers. On a par with the potenzas. I'm not too certain about wear as I've only driven about 2k on them. Very good bang for the buck. Recommended.

i've heard mixed reviews....on the one hand, its good for its price- on the other hand, i heard traction did not perform well on wet roads..........and i'm not too sure about the longevity of the treadwear.........jim or alex??

I have a friend with a set on a 66 Shelby Cobra. They have been very good on the track, but not so good autocross.

Rain is great and so is tire wear.

Nice and quiet also

I had 225 40 18's on my Accord coupe. Tires wear well, suck in the wet, are noisy, and don't even come close to the same grip levels as the S02's.

Now that is exactly opposite of what we've found.

He has been able to comfortably go faster in the wet than I have in my S and although there is a lot of exhaust noise in his car we have not had any added tire noise as has been noticeable on other tires.

I can't compare S02s since he has never run S02s on this car, but high speed wet handling has been better with the Nittos.

I am with David b on this tire, I have them on my S, and they are very quiet, and I have put several thousand miles on them with very little wear, and they look great! As far as grip, these are much harder to break loose than the Bridgestones.

The reason these tires are not discussed much in this forum, is because Tirerack does not sell Nitto.

Wears great, Great dry traction because of it's low void ratio. Acceptable wet traction. Breat bang for the buck. Check out Tires.com .

I have used them for years. I would never use anything else.
