Default non staggered wheels tyre size?

Bought some Rays ce28nf in 17x7.5 et43 to replace my stock 16" wheels(got them too cheap to pass on) - AP1 MY00 car is lowered by approx. 1", have decided I'll be buying AD08R, but not sure which size to go for.

Considering 205/50 on the front and 235/45 on the rear? Any one think that will be fine or offer a different option?

I'd probably go either 205/50-17 with 225/45-17, or 215/45-17 with 225/45-17. Or just run 225 all around. 235/45-17 is a bit tall (worse gearing) and heavier, and a little bit on the wide side for 7.5" wide wheels. ImO...

215/45/17 front and 225/45/17 rear. 205/50/17 seems like a odd size to me. I would also be on the lookout for a set that are wider for the rear.

Im going to second this post.

Later pick up a set of 9-10" wide for the rears and run 255's and swap the rear 225 to up front. If you want the car to feel more confidence inspiring and perform better that is. Also will look more aggressive then a Miata from the rear.

Thanks all, I've decided not to buy those wheels, even though they were an absolute bargain! I'll keep looking for something that will fit properly.

yeah 43 offset is a bit low unless you dont mind rolling. Good choice imo!
