Default Is this normal? My tires are lasting forever!

Hello,

When I bought the S, I had new S03's put on the very next day. I asked the shop for stock camber in the rear, and it seems they did a good job, because it handles well, and the guy that did it seemed knowledgable.

It has been 17,000 miles on these tires and they look like they have 50% tread left. I have never tracked the car, but I drive it hard and take corners fast. There's some wear, inside on the fronts, and more on the rear. I think I can get another 17,000 miles out of them.

Is that normal?

Be careful. As S02s get down in their treadlife, they tend to lose their stickiness. Many have reported being able to see tread, but still wonder why the back end came around on a curve.

Most report 10-15K miles TOTAL for rears. If you truely "drive it hard and take corners fast" you'd be on your 2nd or 3rd set.

Guess its time for a good burnout! Hehehehe

Both of you who have killer mileage are simply not driving your cars hard enough! Enjoy.

That is amazing. I have just purchased my fourth set of rear tires. Im on the second set of front tires. With ~33k miles. It seems to me that I get about 11k per set in the back. I dont think I drive overagressivly, but I would kill myself and everyone else on the road if I drove an SUV. Good luck keeping that rubber! Wish I could keep tires for at least a year.

S02's with low tread is VERY slippery.

I was sliding all over town towards the last days of the tire.

FELT awesome with a fresh new set of S-02

the S-03 last longer than s-02...so enjoy.
