OE Porsche tires on S2000
curious as to what the tire gurus think of this.........
in the same fashion as there is a SPECIFIC S-02 available for the S2000, there is also an OE Pirelli P-Zero avaliable for the boxster (not sure if the designation is N1, N2, but it's something to that affect)..........
could these be used on the S2000????
i ask as these are 18" OE tires for the porsche and i am looking for 18" replacements for my S-03's........
the sizes quoted are 225/40/18 and 265/35/18 (i'm fully aware that the rear is 10mm wider than recommended on my 18x9 rear wheel for the S2000, but the measured section width was quoted as being only a scant .2 inches wider than a 255 S-03)
i will NOT have rubbing issues up to an additional .4 or so........
there's also some other tires that are OE on ferraris and 911's that have sizes that could work as well..........
thanks all.....

Run 'em. They may however be a different compound than the Honda S-02's. I remember at some point Porsche guys referring to them as N1, N2, N3, not sure what it all means, may want to look into it. But if they fit, I'd run 'em.
What is your offset on the rear 18x9? I hope it is close to +65mm...you will need the high offset to run 265/35/18.
By the way...are you a clutch dropper?
With the additional weight, grip, and overall diameter, the 265/35/18 will have a negative effect when drag racing. Your diff. might not be able to handle it.

How many fingers can you put inbetween the tire and the fender with your 255's?
If it is less than a loose 1 finger...I would definately not try the 265's.
If you can fit 2 fingers...265's might work...but don't take my word for it.
The comptech s2000 had the work wheels at one point.
265/35/18 TA KD's...with 18x9 +60mm. I remember they reported some rubbing.

(as well as the above referenced pirellis)............
Just got mine in TKG26. I drove to kingsport today with them on and like them 10xxx better than the pirelli's Dont get me wrong the pirellis are great but the s02's in the N1 porsche designation have very square shoulders in the rear. Anyways I felt the corner adhesion to be very good.
