Default OEM 16" rear tire fitment

I tried to search but said it's broken and offline at the time. so please don't flame.

I heard that the 225 rear S-02 is the same as a 245 in other tires. is this true? and if I'm not getting the S-02's again do I need to change sizes? what's up?! I'm all confused now... thanks for your help and sorry about what I'm sure is a repetative post.

That is correct. If you go to a different tire you should run a 245/45R16 to keep the contact patch the same as stock.
If I can help give me a call.

I have made a mistake then. I changed the stock 225 rear S-02 with a 225 Dunlop SP9000 in my MY2000.. but i found a huge difference between the two tires. Dunlop tires have an incredible grip and now the s2000 is faster in corners, and i ca drive faster in wet conditions.
I was suggested not to switch to 17" since the car would be more rigid and lose some performance; is it true? any opinion on that?
