Sounds a bit drastic since they sold you the wrong rims. Ask them exactly what they are going to do before you let them take equipment to your car.
I am very upset right now.... I cant even focus work because of this.... I mentioned it to him when I fist got it.

ALL the information is right here at your fingertips and mouse click. Why would anyone go out on a limb on a big purchase without asking the questions BEFORE hand..

Based on your assumption that the stock offset is +50 I can see where the wheel company thought +40 would work.

If you indeed gave them wrong stock offset numbers then you are partially to blame.

Either trade them, sell them and chaulk up a lessoned learned. I would however not recommend that you have them roll your fenders.

JMO..

WTH is going on here? A +40 rear 17x8 will work fine, no rubbing issues what so ever. Just slap on a 235/40/17 tire and your good to go, even with a drop you wont rub. For daily driving and commuting this is fine.. At a 17x8.5 you should still be fine with a 235 rear tire even though 245 is recommended. If you go with -2.5 on camber you should clear without rubbing. This is again for a serious drop of 2+ inches. If your at OEM height this is fine. I would suggest not getting upset/worked up over something so minor...

Again for everyone since a lot of you doubt this... FOR DAILY DRIVING AND COMMUTING (which a lot of people do with this car) you can go as low as a

17x8 +38 rear with a 235/40/17 tire and you WILL NOT RUB. Will you loose contact patch, of course, but for some this isnt a big deal.

Fronts you can go as low as 17x7 +43 with a 215/45/17 tire or 205/45/17 tire and you wont rub.

I asked them specifiaclly if they are going to fit. All I need to know is that, what can I do about this...... Are they liable for this? Can I get my money back? What do you guys think.... I know for a fact that they're going to give me a hard time, you know how it is.... They try to eliminate their loses..........

No. OEM is 55 front, 65 rear for all model years. Did you see the sticky at the top of the page?

Am I in the wrong here guys.... They should be the expert right? I am not going to have them fender roll my car. What kind of steps I should take if they dont want to exchange my wheels for something that works? Right now, it seems like I am bothering them over the phone...... That's not right!!!!!!

I'm afraid not. Like I indicated before "BUYER BEWARE!". The ultimate responsibility is up to the buyer to ensure that the specs are correct. Tire and wheel suppliers have no clue as to the exact offset on some cars. The S2000 is not your typical high production number car that all aftermarket suppliers have details about.

No, this is not information that you will find in most car's owner's manuals. "Proof" will be difficult unless they accept a printout of internet forums like this.
