Offset!
Thanks a lot for your support guys, just needed the info.... I am really upset at what they sold me.... I went to them knowing that they are the expert on these kinda stuff. I saw that BUYERS BEWARE, but still I went to them as a customer and not a prick that deserves to get ripped off. I am just upset how they took advantage on me, epsecially not knowing my correct offset..... I even made sure that I asked them so many times that if those rims will fit. We'll see tomorrow and settle this thing out. I've been buying my rims there for years now and I can't believe that they actually dont know what's up with the offset of the s2000's... I jsut wish that they would admit their fault and fix the problem asap. Now.... I bought those tires, they are freakin brand new 225 45 17 and 255 40 17, I wanted to track the car that's why I got a wider tires. Can I still keep the tires and go with the same width and make sure that the offset is close to stock? 17x7.5 and 17x8.5 rear, what kind of offset do I need for this case?

If they wont let you exchange your wheels, I suggest to let them roll your fenders and just buy or ask them to give you skinnier tires maybe 235/40/17. Keep us updated!
If it was me, I would keep the tires that you have and get rims that have "better" offsets.
Talk to them about buying another set and taking the ones you have back for a loss or for a partial refund.
It's better than getting tires that "fit" and then having a crappy setup....and then when your tires go bald having the same setup all over again..
Better to correct your problem now so when it comes time to buy tires at least you have the set up you want.

They fender rolled it and now it seems like no rubbing, but you know. I've been trying to ride bumps but nothing yet.... They had told me that the tires I got was too big, need some thinner ones....
DOES ANYONE WANT TO BUY MY FALKEN AZINEZ RT-615 BARELY 500 MILES?
If not, i'll probably wait until they are done.

My husband is biggest (most anal) worry fart in the ENTIRE world. After all the cars we've been through fixing up. I swear he has the worst luck. He can't sleep if his car gets a ding let alone a little bird turd. The wheels look great, fit great, he just got some HUGE as tires on them and that was the problem. On my car (not an S2K)I have 19x8.5 in the front and 19x10 in the rear... even with low profile tires I had to get it fender rolled. Anyways, if it doesn't work I'm sure he'll just get new rims. "sigh"
SOMEONE GIVE HIM A SHOT OF SOMETHING STRONG!!!
LOL. Damn....

i ordered in the wrong rims as well for the rear of my 00 S. Im running +40 offset at the rears 18x8.5. tyres im using are 215/35/18, and my car is lowered about 2.5". It does not rub at all. BUT handling is severely degraded, i know this as i tracked the car running street setup and the car was sliding all over the place.
