Offsets questions........from my experience.....
Ok, I have a set of XD-9, and my wheel specs are : 17x7.5 +50 w/215/45/17 tires in the front and 17x8.5 + 42 w/245/40/17 in the rear
My wheels look too far "in", and looks like it still have lots of room between the tire and the fender from rubbing.......
Been thinking about this for the last couple days, since OEM is +55 and +65
the rear # is bigger than the front # by 10
+55 +65 = +10 <---- OEM
+50 +42 = -8 <---- Mine
Since I don't have a choice for the rear, so the rear has to stay @ +42
Should I change my front to +42 too, just to get back closer to OEM's +10 ???
Or use a 3-4mm spacer??? Since +42 might rub in the front if my car is lowered??
From my understand, stagger is so important to S2ks, since tire size doesn't change when I changed rims, then I don't think I should change the offsets of
my wheels that much +65 - +42 = 23mm
I don't think my car handles as well as I was using OEM rims
My rear tends to break loose way easier than before
any help or suggestion will be great !! Thanks guys
